It’s easier to set a date when making new resolutions. Many of them choose the 1st of January to be their starting point. But it’s important to know that it isn’t really about the date. It’s mostly about you, so it doesn’t matter if you choose January, 1st or June, 24th to make changes to your lifestyle. The important thing is that you take some action when you aren’t satisfied with some point in your life. The new year resolutions are very active at the moment and many of them are linked exactly with weight loss.
Holidays are over, and if you have loosened up during that time, now is the right time to get back on track. With the first days of New Year gym owners are rubbing their hands knowing they’ll get fine amount of money from all that new memberships. We’ve reached in that period of year when most of the gyms are full. Every single year, the same story appears:
Bunch of unknown people rush into the gym, occupying all the weights, machines , treadmills… It looks more like a store on Black Friday’s sale than a gym place. Many of them hate that period of time where you sometimes have to wait for ages to get the wanted piece of equipment.
If you’re in training less than a year, you might be shocked when you come back to your favorite gym in January. You will probably think that you came to the wrong place, cause it more looks like a market on Sunday mornings than a gym. You’ll might be surprised, but old gym rats know that period of time very well. January makes them sick. Seems ugly to say that, but I know how they feel now.
It’s OK to have a desire to change the way you look, if you aren’t completely satisfied with it. But it’s really rare to see that somebody stays for a while. With every next day in new year, the gym gets less crowded unfortunately. When people realize that going to the gym isn’t that easy as they supposed it will be, they often lose interest and finally quit. Some of them sooner, and some of them later.
Working out demands lots of effort, and many of them aren’t ready to give their best. But without that , there is no good look. If that was so easy, there would be lots of fitness models out there on the streets. As we all can see, that’s not the case. On the contrary, you can see bunch of obese men and women . Today’s stressed lifestyle doesn’t allow ordinary people to feed themselves properly and to do some kind of physical activity, but you can see fast food places fuller than ever. The results are obvious.
Once again, it’s OK to want to look good, and going to the gym can be right thing for you. Bodybuilding is a great lifestyle and will bring you much joy and satisfaction when you look at yourself in front of the mirror. You will feel healthy and self – confident. But on the other side ,bodybuilding isn’t for everybody . It’s also a cruel lifestyle that doesn’t leave you much freedom in any segment, from training to the nutrition part. Partying and drinking alcohol are also things that must be eliminated from your routine.
If going to the gym is only a short – term caprice to you, that comes on your mind only when you feel bad about yourself looking at the mirror, than you have the wrong solution for your problems. Of course I can’t tell you what to do but giving you an advice is my obligation. Save your money and time, cause in that case gym isn’t the right place for you.
